Housed in the magnificent Old County Courthouse, the San Mateo County History Museum preserves the rich history of the county and makes it accessible to the public. It offers educational activities for school children, as well as a wide range of events concerning the history of the county – from tours of historic sites to lectures, discussions and family programs.

Have done this for 10 years and its a wonderful afternoon spent. The area is enclosed and safe for toddlers, and GREAT for school age kids. There are several adults in costume to help guide kids... Expand
Have done this for 10 years and its a wonderful afternoon spent. The area is enclosed and safe for toddlers, and GREAT for school age kids. There are several adults in costume to help guide kids through the many Rancho activites and Crafts, most who have been doing this for years. The spirit and fun is great at this precious little jewel of a site, both historically and geographically. A great afternoon 12-4! Collapse
