    Olympiad of the Arts

    Each spring, the Olympiad of the Arts recognizes the outstanding creative and performing talents of college and high school students in Santa Clara County and encourages their continued study and growth in the arts. $12,500 in monetary awards will be offered in 2007.

    The Competition is open to all community college, lower division four-year college, and high school students in Santa Clara County.

    Competitios are held in Acting, Dance Choreography, Vocal and Piano performance, Photography, Digital Photography,Poetry and Prose writing, Digital Multi-media, Video, and, for high school students, Visual Arts categories.

    The Olympiad culminates with an awards program in May with performances by winners in the mjusic, dance, and acting categories. A booklet of winning creative writing is published. A slide show and video of the outstanding visual art, photography, digital, and video winning entries are presented.
