About the artist:

Recent credits include Camelot (Guenevere) and 1776 (Abigail Adams) with Lyric Theatre of San Jose, Dessa Rose (Ruth’s Mother/Susannah) and Into the Woods (Florinda/Cinderella’s Mother u/s—performed) with TheatreWorks; Ragtime (Mother) with Foothill Music Theatre, for which she won a Dean Goodman Choice Award and a Bay Area Theatre Critics nomination.


Original productions include Count of Monte Cristo (Soloist), Calvin & Hobbes (Mom), and Clue (Mrs. White) by local playwright/songwriter Ted Kopolus.


A local Bay Area performer, other favorite performances include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman #1) with Theatre on San Pedro Square, Carousel (Julie Jordan), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Rosemary) and Bells are Ringing (Ella) with Foothill Music Theatre; My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine (Harpo Marx), South Pacific (Nellie) and The Sound of Music (Maria) with Saratoga Drama Group.


When not on stage, Mary performs daily for a “kept” audience of 7th and 8th graders as a science and drama teacher at Davis Intermediate School in San Jose.


Mary’s upcoming theatrical events include Hello, Dolly! (Irene Molloy) with South Bay Musical Theatre (formerly Saratoga Drama Group) in spring 2010.
