Great variety. Something for everyone. In the great outdoors of downtown San Jose. Dances went from children's tap dancers to couples' ballet to flamenco-style couples' dance to cave dwellers symbolic group dances from college students. Different every time and usually every type of dance is different. Outdoors. An occasional jet may be loud, but does not stop the show. May be hot or cold. (Depending if you are in the sun or in the wind.) A few available chairs. Standing room is abundant. Musical variety as well. Collapse

I was quite disappointed. As the script was not written to be a comedy, the comic nature of Watson and Holmes didn't really work, and there seemed no point setting it in modern day when it affected nothing in the plot except the use of telephones. Whilst resetting it in time period, couldn't it have been re-set to take place in America, and then they needn't have tried to do English accents, which were painful to listen to. The acting ability was below the level we have seen in other plays - I felt that the supporting cast was better than any of the leads. Sorry I cannot recommend it to anyone. Collapse

These kids have become very close and each performance is always great. My son has been doing this for some time and I am very proud of him. He is in This play as well and has been working very hard. I am sure that this will be just as good if not better then all the last performances that he has been in. I am looking forward to another 5 star performance. Collapse

This is a thought-provoking play encouraging disussion about a wide-spread and somehow still socially-acceptable prejudice. While the actors did a fairly convincing job, I would have liked to feel more sincere emotion from the two lovers and less of the unneccesary bedroom scene. Artsopolis has become a vital part of my single life and has allowed me to enjoy up to three events per week I would otherwise not know about or afford. Thank You! Collapse

I enjoyed the production but have one negative comment. I felt that the age of the actors didn't always match the age of the characters they were playing. This is not to cast aspersions at the level of acting, just that the age of the characters and the age of the actual actors were not always in agreement. Collapse

Not knowing much about this play, I came in with low expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised, as the story weaves in 4 generations of a family, and traces their journeys and desires to either keep children close to the nest, or set them free. The story comes full circle in many ways, and the characters learn valuable lessons taught by the parents. I found it very warm, thought provoking, and enjoyable. The actors were excellent, too.
