Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium
The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, architecturally inspired by the Temple of Amon at Karnak, houses the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts on exhibit in the western United States -- including objects from pre dynastic times through Egypt's early Islamic era. Mondays: Closed Tuesday - Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm Saturday - Sunday: 11:00am - 6:00pm Last admittance into the museum is a half-hour before closing. Backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside the museum. No video, tripod or flash photography is permitted inside the museum. Non-flash photography is allowed inside the museum. Treasures of the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, a Catalogue is available for sale in the museum store. This catalogue features more than 260 color images of the artifacts in the collection. Please note: The Museum is closed on the following dates: New Year's Eve & New Year's Day (December 31 & January 1), Easter Sunday and July 4. Museum Admissions: $9.00 general admission* $7.00 seniors/students w/ I.D. $5.00 children ages 5 - 10 free children under 5 * $1.00 discount on general admission for members of AAA, AAM, KQED, and Military
