For example, If your Keyword Search Report tells you that 63 people have come to your site looking for information on a community festival, that gives you a chance to make that event easier for people to find by featuring it on your homepage, thereby improving the user's experience on your site and giving your community the impression that you have your thumb on the pulse of what's important to them in the moment. With this new tool, you can also figure out if the people looking for that festival are your locals or if you're attracting people from out of your area. Over time, this will give you insight into what matters to the people who live in your backyard, as well as what markets you should potentially be focusing your marketing efforts on to draw in audiences from outside your area.
Please note that this new report is only available for the Events Calendar module. However, in order to provide a more comprehensive view of 'on site' keyword searches, we've activated a similar search terms report within your Google Analytics account, for those Network Members who have provided with administrative access. The Google Analytics search term report includes searches made in all active modules (events, organizations, venues, etc.), though it is limited in that it does not track geographic location of each search.
If you would like to keep a record of your site's search results for a particular time period, they can be filtered and exported to a CSV file for your records.
