Thanks to a request from ARTSKCgo.com and OrlandoatPlay.com, we found a new way to improve end user experience on all of our sites.
We’re always looking for ways to improve the ‘stickiness’ of our sites (that’s ways to encourage people to stay on the site and keep exploring) and this new button will do just that.
Previously, if an end user was interested in a Featured Category tab, and scrolled all the way to the bottom of the listed featured events, they had no path to see more events of that kind without scrolling to the top of the page and searching for them.
This dynamic button, which now shows up at the end of all Featured Category Tab sections on all sites, provides a logical pathway for the end user to continue explore events of that kind. Rather than navigating them away from the homepage to the directory of listings under that category, the button instead calls to the database for the next few chronological events and displays them to the end user. This avoids the user feeling like they ‘clicked on the wrong thing’. They simply stay on the homepage, and when they are done exploring that category, they can return to the top of the page to look at other event categories.
