Syndication partners will get more bang for their buck in their individual feeds.
Previously our syndication feed was only capable of showing the events tagged with the primary category, but with this new development work completed (big thanks to Milwaukee365.com!) the Network has a new feature added to these feeds. Now if an event is tagged with sub-categories along with the primary category, syndication feeds will allow end users to search by any other sub-category the event has been tagged with.
Not only is this a huge boon for syndication partners by making the search capabilities more robust resulting in an improved end user experience, it also offers an alternative to those who use theme pages for specific events on their own site. By using your syndication tool, instead of a theme page, to create a category based page on your own site, you can create a syndication feed and allow people to search those primary category events by sub-categories AND venues, which a theme page is not capable of.
A great example of this is Milwaukee using this feature for their special event Giving Fest.
